Alpha Sigma Rho defines rush as an important time for us to get to know you, and also, for you to know about Alpha Sigma Rho. Joining an eternal sisterhood is a very serious thing, and we need to preserve the sisterhood that our founders have bestowed on us. Rushing for our sorority is a great opportunity for us to decide if you are right for us. The more rush events you come out to, the easier is it for us to know you better – so be sure to try to come out to all of them!
Rush is a period of about 2-3 weeks at the beginning of each semester. All rush events are free, and you are not obligated to join. These events provide an opportunity for you to meet the active sisters of the sorority, meet new friends, and most importantly, find out if Alpha Sigma Rho is for you. After our last rush event, the rushees are given “bids” or formal invitations to join. The girls can then decide whether to accept or decline the invitation. If she chooses to accept, she is then officially a “new member” for ASR.
